Modernizing the title industry

Background

State Title Group (STG) is New Jersey’s leader in Escrow and Commercial/Residential Title services. Before approaching Verascend, STG’s Web site provided only basic contact information. STG recognized the need to redesign the site to incorporate more advanced functionality for its clients as well as a more sophisticated and appealing Web design.

Objectives

STG requested that Verascend design a sophisticated and professional-looking new Web site with enhanced functionality. STG also wanted to provide its clientele with a portal giving them read-only access to their own documents stored on one of STG’s servers, along with information from a database pertaining to those files.

Solution

Verascend designed a fresh new Web site that provides users with leading edge calculators to compute mortgage and refinance figures, transfer taxes, recording fees, and title insurance premiums. This sleek new site also provides STG’s clients with a portal giving secure access to their own file and billing information presented in a user-friendly layout. Clients can also launch the file and its related documents for viewing, and save these to their local machine. The portal is managed through an administration page monitored by STG. Using this page, STG can create a login for clients, change e-mail notification addresses, and modify a client’s database path.
